‘Rain Room’ explores how human relationships to each other and to nature are increasingly mediated through technology. Visitors are invited to enter a 100m² room of falling water. The combination of tracking software, industrial automation equipment and other bespoke systems allows visitors to pass through the artificial storm without getting wet. In Rain Room a seemingly intuitive relationship develops between visitor and artwork, man and machine.
